Greeks Sponsor Clothing Drive on Feb. 27

The Greek community at UNM has chosen the Bernalillo County Council of the PTA as its philanthropy this year. As part of Greek Week activities, the Greeks are sponsoring a clothing drive on Feb. 27, in the UNM Student Union Building between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The UNM community is encouraged to contribute.

Bernalillo County Council of the PTA (BCCPTA) is an Albuquerque Public Schools clothing bank that depends solely on donations. The clothing bank provides more than 2,800 students in need with clothing and toiletries each year.

In addition, all funds raised from the Greek Sing talent show on Monday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the SUB ballrooms will be donated to the BCCPTA.  Cost at the door is $5.

Greeks will also spend Saturday, Feb. 25 cleaning the Albuquerque Bio-Park as they prepare for the spring season.  About 600 students are expected to participate.
