Outstanding Staff Award Nominations Sought

The Provost Committee for Staff seeks nominations for the PCS Outstanding Staff award. Three individuals and a workgroup are selected for this award of excellence.

Faculty, staff and students in the Provost’s units may nominate any permanent, non-faculty staff member. A workgroup can be comprised of an office, department, division or section. Self-nominations are not be accepted. Previously nominated staff or workgroups may be nominated again, provided the nominee(s) is/are not a past recipient of the award. Current Provost’s Committee for Staff members are not eligible for the award.

This is an important way to recognize staff members who demonstrate extraordinary service to the university community. Staff, faculty or students may nominate any staff member who is a member of a department that reports to the Provost,” said Chaouki Abdallah, interim provost.

The Provost’s Committee for Staff was founded in 1989 and is comprised of staff members in areas of the university that report to the Provost. This committee was created to assist the Provost in providing opportunities for staff development, recognition and service. Members of this committee represent staff on issues that affect staff, disseminating information, and carrying out activities regarding staff development and recognition. Committee meetings are once per month.
