Dianne Anderson has been selected as Director of Communication for the University of New Mexico. Anderson comes to UNM from her position as a news anchor at KRQE. She will join the University Communication & Marketing Department on July 2, 2012.

Anderson brings more than 30 years of experience to the position, and has superb writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to go on camera to be the "face of the university" on institutional issues. She was selected after an extensive search for an individual with knowledge of New Mexico media outlets and experience in this market.

Anderson also has an impressive range of community experience on local boards and committees including the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, Wells Fargo Bank's Leadership Council, the Albuquerque Assistance League and as the Chairperson for the Governor's Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Campaign.

Anderson is married to media consultant/movie producer Mark Mathis and has two children.
