Technology Days 2012, the annual Information Technologies extravaganza featuring the latest in technology that IT has to offer the campus community, is set for Thursday-Friday, June 28–29 at the UNM Student Union Building. This year’s theme, “Technology Today,” will speak to the many nuances of technology and how technology impacts our lives. New UNM President Bob Frank and Chief Information Officer Gil Gonzales will be the featured keynote speakers. Session tracks include security, Banner and information on many other IT projects currently underway.
“Technology Today” will engage the University community to look at advanced or innovative applications that directly support UNM’s mission of education, research, health care and public service; to discuss core technology that has a broad impact on the enterprise; to investigate active or future small or large scale roll-outs of technology delivered to mobile devices, and finally to engage the academic community to be part of technology’s voice of decision.
During this event, Information Technologies also hosts several IT vendors who will present and train the University community on evolving technologies and how these technologies apply to higher education.
