Memorial Service on Tuesday for Dong Glenn

UNM Park­ing & Trans­porta­tion Ser­vices is host­ing a memo­r­ial ser­vice for Dong Glenn on Tues­day, June 26 at 10 a.m. in the UNM Alumni Memo­r­ial Chapel.

Glenn passed away on June 20, 2012 after a short ill­ness. He joined UNM Park­ing and Trans­porta­tion in 2006 as the department’s Oper­a­tions Man­ager. Dur­ing his time at UNM, Glenn quickly devel­oped a rep­u­ta­tion for hav­ing an admirable work ethic, a desire to help oth­ers, and a mem­o­rable sense of humor. He is sur­vived by his wife Pearline Hawkins and many friends.

“He was held in the high­est regard by our staff, many oth­ers across cam­pus, and in the com­mu­nity,” said Karla Hubbell, UNM PATS Direc­tor. “We will miss him greatly.”

A Memo­r­ial Fund has been estab­lished for Glenn to assist the fam­ily with funeral expenses. Dona­tions will be accepted at any Bank of the West in Albu­querque under the Account Name: Memo­r­ial Fund for Dong Mook Glenn.
