Provost’s Committee for Staff Offers Three $250 Scholarships

The Provost’s Committee for Staff is again offering three $250 scholarships to UNM staff who participate in the Tuition Remission Program for the fall 2012 semester. The money will help cover the cost of academic books, course fees and supplies.

To be eligible for the scholarships applicants must:

* Be enrolled in courses toward a degree, certificate completion or professional development
* Have passed their UNM employment probationary period
* Be at least a .50 FTE UNM employee
* Have a “meets expectation” or better on most recent performance review (do not send performance review)

To apply for the scholarship, go to Provost’s Committee for Staff and fill out the form. Only forms filled out completely will be accepted. Your personal statement should be brief but explain in detail why you are applying. Remember, your personal statement is what the committee will use as a primary determining factor for who receives the scholarship.

The deadline to apply is Monday, Aug. 13. Scholarship recipients will be notified the week of Aug. 20.
