Staff Appreciation Month continues the week of Monday, July 23 with many great events including a mini-tour of UNM’s Historical Landscape and Inter-professional Healthcare Simulation Center,the annual Greg Johnston Summer Concert and Barbecue, and a new twist on an old event the LOBOrrito Breakfast, formerly the Pancake Breakfast.
From noon to 1 p.m., join UNM Landscape Architect Sue Mortier and learn how UNM designs, develops and maintains its landscaping. Bring your gardening questions along with comfortable walking shoes, water, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Inter-professional Healthcare Simulation Center hosts a mini-tour on Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Domenici Center North, first floor. Learn about the newest additions to the Health Sciences Center from Program Specialist Sonja Dewing.
The annual Greg Johnston Summer Concert and Barbecue is set for Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. on South Sub Plaza. Come hear the music of Vintage Sounds. For just $5 you can purchase a freshly grilled burger or hot dog (vegetarian options available), chips, ice cream and lemonade. Come relax under the trees, listen to music and visit with your friends and co-workers.
LOBOrrito Breakfast is back by popular demand, but with a twist! On Thursday, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the SUB Ballrooms, step back in time with a 1950’s theme celebration. UNM administrators and Staff Council officers will serve you a delicious LOBOrrito with red/green chili on the side, fruit and beverages. Your LOBO ID Card is required for entrance. Come and have breakfast with your co-workers, meet old friends and make some new ones.
