DelCampo Appointed Associate Dean of Anderson School of Management

Robert DelCampo

Robert Del Campo has been appointed associate dean of the UNM Anderson School of Management (ASM). DelCampo is the Rutledge Professor of Management in the Department of Organizational Studies and serves as a Bill Daniels Business Ethics Fellow.

I look forward to this opportunity to serve the Anderson community,” said DelCampo. “As an alumnus of Anderson and long-time faculty member, I have a lot personally invested in the future of our school. I hope this comes across in my passion for our collective opportunities for success. It is my sincere hope that I can serve as an ambassador, mediator and advocate for our students, faculty, staff and programs.”

Anderson Dean Doug Brown looks forward to working with DelCampo when the fall semester begins on Aug. 20. “Rob brings excellent leadership skills, a top research and teaching background, and the respect of all of us at Anderson,” said Brown.

DelCampo, who came to ASM in 2004, is also well regarded by the UNM student body, who last year, voted him as their choice for best professor.

DelCampo has published or presented more than 75 papers and is the author of seven books. His current book, Managing the Multi-Generational Workforce: From the GI Generation to the Millennials, looks at each generation and how they relate to each other and specifically how managers can integrate the new generation, the ‘Millennials,’ into the workplace. He has also consulted for more than 25 Fortune 500 companies including Ford, Home Depot, Dell and Intel.

DelCampo earned his Ph.D. from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and holds MBA and undergraduate degrees from UNM. He takes over the position held by Ranjit Bose, who served as associate dean since January 2011. Bose has been at UNM Anderson since 1989 and will continue to teach several courses in the area of Management Information Systems.
