The UNM Student Activities Center presents its annual “Welcome Back Days” event Aug. 17–24. Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UNM Duck Pond. Each day features a variety of information tables, free food and live entertainment.
“Welcome Back Days has been a campus tradition for well over 30 years now and it really helps to ease students, faculty and staff into the academic year,” said Ryan Lindquist, associate director, UNM Student Activities Center. “It’s more than free food, live entertainment and great information. It is also UNM’s first opportunity to bring our community together and celebrate our connection as Lobos.”
Casino games, Henna tattoos, karaoke and free food are a few of the events happening during Friday Night Live at the Student Union Building on Aug. 17 from 8 — 11 p.m. And, if you have never seen a movie under the stars, stop by Johnson Field at 8 p.m. to watch the summer hit, “The Avengers” on a 30’ tall screen. The movie and popcorn are free, just bring a friend and a blanket.
On Sunday, Aug. 19, UNM’s Class Crawl will be held at the North SUB Mall immediately following Freshman Convocation.
