Mexican Pianist César Reyes to Perform at Keller Hall

The UNM Depart­ment of Music presents, “Mas­ters of Mex­i­can Nation­al­ism” fea­tur­ing pianist César Reyes on Thurs­day, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Keller Hall in the UNM Cen­ter for the Arts. The pre­sen­ta­tion is part of the Latin Amer­i­can Con­cert and Speaker Series coor­di­nated at UNM by Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor of Music José Luis Hur­tado. Tick­ets are $10 for gen­eral admis­sion; $8 for seniors; and $6 for students.

Mex­i­can Pianist and Musi­col­o­gist César Reyes is one of the lead­ing per­form­ers of Latin Amer­i­can Music in the United States. An active mem­ber of the Soci­ety for Amer­i­can Music, he has pre­sented lecture-recitals on the piano music of Mex­ico in the most pres­ti­gious con­fer­ences of the United States and Europe, includ­ing impor­tant halls such us Carnegie Hall in the United States and the Pala­cio de Bel­las Artes and the Cen­tro Nacional de las Artes in Mex­ico City.
