New Mexico in Focus on Election Problems, Previews Ken Burns’ Dust Bowl

This week on New Mex­ico in Focus, pan­elists take a look back at Elec­tion Day, specif­i­cally vot­ing prob­lems in Rio Ran­cho as hour­long lines raise ques­tions about the need to reform the state’s vot­ing sys­tem in San­doval County.

New Mex­ico PBS’ one hour pub­lic affairs show New Mex­ico in Focus airs Fri­days at 7 p.m. and Sun­days at 7 a.m. on Chan­nel 5.1. The show can also be seen on New Mex­ico PBS Chan­nel 9.1 on Sat­ur­days at 5 p.m.

Also this week, New Mex­ico Demo­c­ra­tic party chair­man Javier Gon­za­les talks about his party’s strat­egy in the 2012 elec­tions and pri­or­i­ties mov­ing for­ward, co-producer of Ken Burn’s “The Dust Bowl” Julie Dun­fey sits down with Gene Grant and the Amer­i­can Grad­u­ate Series returns with the APS Dual-Language Learn­ing Program.
