Tom Angelo BiographyFollowing a national search, the Office of the Provost has named the finalists for the director position of the Center for Effective Teaching at UNM. They include: Thomas Angelo, Aeron Haynie and William Robertson. Open forums for the finalists will be held over the course of the next three weeks said Associate Provost for Curriculum Greg Heileman, who led the search committee comprised of faculty, staff and administrators.
Each candidate will present a vision for promoting effective teaching and learning at the University of New Mexico. All presentations will be held in the College of Education, room 130, from 2 — 3 p.m.

William Robertson — Wednesday, March 20
The director will lead a newly-formed Center for Effective Teaching at UNM. The mission of the center is to develop, support, and promote active and engaged learning practices at UNM that improve learning outcomes, retention and persistence in a manner consistent with university goals. The Center is designed to support excellence in teaching through all forms of instruction and mentoring, including face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and other emerging modalities.
