Student Success Summit Set for Thursday, Feb. 7

The Stu­dent Suc­cess Sum­mit: Foun­da­tions of Excel­lence (FoE) Mid­point Review is set on Thurs­day, Feb. 7 from 8:15 a.m. to noon in Ball­rooms A and B of the Stu­dent Union Build­ing (SUB). Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. This event is free and open to the pub­lic. Refresh­ments will be served.

The sum­mit includes a keynote address by Dr. George Kuh, “Imple­men­ta­tion Mat­ters: Insur­ing That Promis­ing Prac­tices Are Effec­tive.” Also fea­tured are pre­sen­ta­tions from each of the nine Foun­da­tions of Excel­lence (FoE) committees.

The goal of the sum­mit is to share rec­om­men­da­tions with the cam­pus com­mu­nity on how to improve stu­dents’ first year expe­ri­ence from the var­i­ous FoE dimen­sions that include stu­dents, fac­ulty, staff and com­mu­nity mem­bers,” said Jen­nifer Gomez-Chavez, direc­tor, Stu­dent Aca­d­e­mic Success.
