UNM Anderson Club Challenge Set for Feb. 15

The annual Anderson School of Management Club Challenge takes place Friday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. — 1:30 p.m. in the Jackson Student Center. The challenge forces students to think quickly and develop presentations in four separate categories: Mission Statement, Tag Line, Commercial and Sales Pitch.

Each Club Challenge team will have a business “Coach” assigned to the team and five members from the Albuquerque business community will judge the competition. Thanks to generous support from Fidelity Investments, teams will be competing for cash prizes this year.

We focus year-round on helping students receive a quality core education,” said Leean Kravitz, director of public affairs, Fidelity Investments. “We’re proud to sponsor the Anderson Club Challenge because it expands students’ classroom learning.”

The winning student team will earn a $1,000 first prize and have their name etched on the Club Challenge trophy. The second place team will receive $400.

All UNM students are welcome to participate in the dueling minds competition and 10 teams have already committed to the challenge. The public is invited to attend. For more information email Emily McGoawan at emcgowan@unm.edu.
