Campus Life

Dancers with The University of New Mexico's Department of Theatre & Dance embrace the sound of music at the 2021 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
Class Crawl 2021! The perfect opportunity for new students and their families to discover where their classes are located on campus prior to the first day of classes. We've missed you, Lobos!
You're officially a resident Lobo! Students will have the next few days to move in and get familiar with campus as classes begin Monday, August 23, 2021.
UNM officials put the finishing touches on the stage for The University of New Mexico's First-Year Convocation set for Sunday, Aug. 22 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Center. Convocation is an annual event to celebrate first-year students, honor the family and friends that have helped prepare them for this new phase of their academic journey, and introduce them to the UNM Community. A reception will follow convocation from 5 - 7 p.m. at Cornell Mall and the Student Union Ballroom (SUB).
UNM recently implemented a mask-wearing policy following the recommendations from the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by requiring everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask indoors at all UNM locations in Albuquerque, McKinley, Sandoval, Taos, and Valencia. This indoor mask-wearing policy went into effect on Monday, Aug. 2.
The UNM campus is slowly coming back to life, but sometimes we all still need a little encouragement! Future Lobo Cole (Class of 2040) is gently reminding one of the turtles at the Duck Pond how to socialize.
