This week on іCOLORES!, renowned New Mexican photojournalist and UNM Distinguished Professor Miguel Gandert gives an insider’s view of contemporary Indo-Hispano culture. Gandert’s common ancestry with his subjects helped him create this view of a culture, which, despite change, maintains deep roots in the past.

іCOLORES! is the weekly local and national series airing this Saturday, March 12 at 4 p.m. on New Mexico PBS channel 5.1.

And more than 65 years ago, photographer Gordon Parks captured the realities of life under segregation.
