Students who participated in the 2011 University of New Mexico Foodshed Field School this summer will present their poster and media projects Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hibben Center on UNM's Main Campus. Poster presentations will be shown from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and media presentations from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The UNM Foodshed Field School is part of the UNM Collaborative for Foodshed Development program. The collaborative was made possible with the help of a two-year, $290,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture Hispanic Serving Institutions program and developed by the UNM Sustainability Studies Program. It's comprised of faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Fine Arts, the School of Engineering and the School of Architecture and Planning.
