UNM’s Benefits & Employee Wellness and HSC Wellness host the sixth annual Stadium Stair Challenge, benefitting AGORA Crisis Center, on Saturday, April 29.

Participants tackle the 1,668 stairs of University Stadium during the family-friendly event on April 29. It’s open to the community and everyone who takes part will receive a race shirt. Those wanting to do the timed event will be competing for prizes in various categories.

UNM employees can use their tuition remission to pay for entry and access to training videos created by Employee Wellness. Tuition remission cost is $160. 

Entry into the Stadium Stair Challenge only– which is not tuition remission eligible – is $45 for those who sign up before April 28. It will be $55 to sign up the day of the event. The Kid’s Race is $10 until April 28 or $20 the day of the event.

Proceeds go to AGORA Crisis Center. Agora provides compassionate free confidential help to anyone in need of emotional support. Services include talk-line, walk-in clinic, online emotional support chat, volunteer opportunities and community education. As one of the oldest crisis centers nationwide, Agora hosts the NM Youth Suicide Prevention crisis line and is part of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Network as well as www.CrisisChat.org
