Turning in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by the March 1 priority deadline makes a difference in students' eligibility for some types of aid. The FAFSA is required for all need-based financial aid, including grants and loans. American Indian Student Services offers FAFSA Fridays Financial Aid Workshops every Friday, Jan. 14-Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., to help students navigate the complex form.
The workshops are open to all students. Financial aid experts will provide assistance in completing the 2011-12 FAFSA. Students must bring their and their parents' FAFSA PINs, 2010 federal tax returns and 2010 W-2 forms. Apply for a PIN at Federal Student Aid.
American Indian Student Services is in Mesa Vista Hall, room 1119. For more information, contact Catherine Montoya at (505) 277-6343 or email@example.com. Register at AISS.
