Anyone who has ever dreamed of being their own boss is invited to attend the Anderson School of Management's Self Employment Fair on Tuesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the UNM Student Union Building (SUB). The event was created to provide information to those considering entrepreneurship as a career option.

Representatives from ACCION, the City of Albuquerque, Youth Entrepreneurship, Wells Fargo, STC.UNM, WESST Corp., New Mexico Angels, SCORE, the Small Business Administration, the Small Business Development Center, Hispano Chamber of Commerce, and the Loan Fund will be on hand to answer questions and provide self employment and entrepreneurial information and resources. This is the perfect opportunity for those who are having difficulties finding a job or for students getting ready to graduate who would like to start a business.

In addition to the fair, there will be entrepreneurial presentations every half hour in the Fiesta room.

11:30 a.m. - Defining Your Product and Market – Where are the opportunities?

12 p.m. - Financing Your Business

12:30 p.m. - Pitch Your Idea to the Entrepreneurial Experts

1 p.m. - Nuts and Bolts of Entrepreneurship

1:30 p.m. - Overview of New Mexico Self Employment Resources

The Self Employment Fair will be held on the third floor of the SUB in the Lobo and Fiesta rooms on the UNM Campus. Admission is free and open to all UNM Community members. Parking is available in the Cornell parking structure located next to Popejoy Hall.
