The goal of this job fair is to help current anthropology students — undergraduate and graduate — and recent alumni in archaeology, museum studies, ethnology, and evolutionary anthropology connect with potential local employers. 

The Anthropology Department has had a positive response from companies, agencies, and other organizations. Confirmed participants include:

CRM companies: SWCA, Office of Contract Archaeology, Parametrix, NV5 (formerly Marron), TRC, Okun Consulting, Algonquin Consultants, Statistical Research Inc, and Desert Archaeology Inc.

Agencies: New Mexico Historic Preservation Department, New Mexico State Parks, New Mexico Department of Transportation, Los Alamos National Laboratories, US Army Corps of Engineers, and US Forest Service 

Museums: Maxwell Museum and Museum of Indian Arts and Culture

Other Organizations: UNM Prevention Research Center, Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE), Office of the Medical Investigator

Many of the different organizations and businesses have open positions to fill, both temporary and permanent. Participants are encouraged to cruise the tables, network with professional anthropologists working in New Mexico, and partake in free refreshments.
