The UNM Department of Anthropology will hold its second annual Job Fair on Monday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Union Building Ballroom B.
Students with a major or minor in Anthropology or a related field can meet recruiters, learn about careers and internships in fields related to Anthropology, apply for jobs, get information on volunteer opportunities, and learn about the Undergraduate Anthropology Society, and the Anthropology Graduate Student Union. Recruiters are from federal organizations, private companies, non-profit organizations, museums, and UNM affiliates. Refreshments will also be provided.
The department is also offering a series of pre-workshops to help students prepare resumes/CVs and learn how to get the most out of the job fair experience. The workshops are:
Wednesday, Feb. 19, 4 p.m., Anthropology Room 248 – How to Work a Career Fair, Resume/CV preparation workshop with Undergraduate Committee chair Frances Hayashida and UNM Career Services.
Friday, Feb. 21, 5 p.m., Draft & Table (UNM SUB) – Preparing Your CV for CRM Jobs with Robin Cordero from the Office of Contract Archeology and assistant professor of Archaeology Hannah Mattson.
