The Center for Public Anthropology has recognized students from Professor Keith Prufer's Anthropology 101 class who participated in a North American competition.  The students wrote on "Who should be the beneficiaries of anthropological research?"

Their essays can be found at: Center for Public Anthropology.

The center says Prufer has played in integral part in Public Anthropology's online student community, showcasing the ability of UNM students to learn effective writing skills while being active global citizens.  The center congratulated Prufer for demonstrating how combining technology with cultural concerns in academic courses positively engages students to participate in the broader world beyond their university, while gaining the skills needed for a productive, active life after graduation.
