The UNM Alumni Association is looking for UNM faculty, students and alumni (staff) to participate in UNM's 122nd birthday celebration by attending and or hosting a Dinner for 12 Strangers.

The Dinner for 12 Strangers program is an opportunity for alumni to connect with UNM students, faculty and other alums. Local alumni host a dinner in their home in an effort to make UNM a smaller, friendlier place. Dinner guests come together as strangers and leave as friends.

"The Dinner for 12 Strangers program has been growing steadily over the last 6 years," said Sue MacEachen. "This is an opportunity for alumni to connect with UNM students, faculty and other alums in an effort to make UNM a smaller, friendlier place in a casual environment. We've experienced great conversations while learning more about what faculty are doing, how students cope and the successes of our alumni.

In addition to attendees, the Alumni Association is looking for more dinner hosts as well. The event takes place on the day of your choice: Friday, Feb. 25, Saturday, Feb. 26 or Sunday, Feb. 27. The registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 18.
