The University of New Mexico Administrative Support Alliance held its 2013 conference in the Student Union Building recently and featured talks by successful business owners and authors, panel discussions and a “Lobo” fashion show finale.
“Following a year of planning, working alongside a fine group of professional, dedicated, collaborative people, the 2013 ASA Conference was a resounding success," Steering Committee Chair Val Darensburg said. "Attendees enjoyed a wide span of topics, an outstanding keynote address by Ann Rhoades, and found time for some professional fun with the ‘Lobo Look’ finale.”
The ‘Lobo Look’ fashion show was emceed by UNM Director of Communication Dianne Anderson, who described with aplomb the ensembles worn by 16 UNM staff models representing clothing from the UNM Bookstore, the new Ladies’ Boutique at the Bookstore, Suits Unlimited and Maurices. The ‘Lobo Look’ models entertained the crowd as they strutted and sashayed down the runway in clothing appropriate for Monday through Thursday, as well as for Lobo Spirit Fridays. “All in all, I am proud to have played a part in this conference and look forward to our 2015 event,” said Darensburg.
