The University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management and the School of Engineering hosts “The Peace Engineering and Innovation Initiative” as a part of the Wells Fargo Speaker Series on Friday, Nov. 8 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.

ASM Speaker Series

The event will focus on outline the progress in research efforts, curriculum development and commercialization efforts for peace engineering. Panels throughout the afternoon will be on the following:

  • Innovation and policy—public and private partnerships
  • Student engagement and leadership
  • Experiential learning and community involvement
  • Constructing knowledge

Opening remarks will be given by Sharon Walker, dean of Drexel College of Engineering; Christos Christodoulou, Jim and Ellen King, dean of Engineering and Computing at the UNM School of Engineering; and Shawn Berman, UNM Anderson School of Management interim dean.

The keynote address will be given by Julian Gresser, CEO of Big Heart Technologies-B Corp.

The event will be held in Lobo A and B in the Student Union Building, 3rd Floor. Paid parking in the Cornell Parking Structure across from Popejoy Hall.
