The Associated Students of the University of New Mexico (ASUNM), with support from UNM Planning, Design & Construction (PDC), will host a community outreach workshop on Wednesday, March 4 to gain feedback on proposed site improvements for UNM Main Campus, at the corner of Central and Girard.

The Albuquerque design firm, MRWM, will be on hand present ideas for the Central and Girard area of campus through the use of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles. The event will be held form 11 a.m. ­– 1 p.m. in the UNM Student Union Building atrium.  

After the design input is collected from UNM stakeholders, this project be refined and put to approvals with UNM Board of Regents, HED and State Board of Finance.

“We are happy to bring forward solutions that make people feel safe when they visit our beautiful campus," said University Architect and PDC Director Amy Coburn. "Because design proposals take on life when our community participates in their development, I invite all to attend this informal event and to provide feedback on the proposed concepts.”
