Lucy Gent Foma will be at the UNM Bookstore on Thursday, April 28 at 1 p.m. to sign copies of Funded! (Morgan James Publishing, 2016). This event is open to the public.
The book, Funded!: How I Leveraged My Passion to Live a Fulfilling Life and How You Can Too, is a step-by-step guide preparing readers to navigate the scholarship application process in order to fund your passions to work in your community, travel abroad, or research your field of interest. Foma, along with other successful fellowship receiptients, share knowledge on how to research, prepare and apply for grants and scholarships in order to navigate the scholarship application process. Foma proves that you don’t have to be an extraordinary student to pursue and win prestigious awards.
Foma is a graduate of Smith College, and has received over a $250,000 in fellowship, scholarship and grant awards, including a Fulbright Fellowship and a Rotary Scholarship. Foma has traveled the world and graduated with a master’s degree from Cornell University, all while remaining completely debt-free.
The UNM Bookstore is located at 2301 Central Ave. NE at the intersection of Cornell and Central. For more information, contact Marie Claire Day at 277-1388 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
