The final presentation and exhibition of the Belen MainStreet project by students in the School of Architecture & Planning at UNM takes place Friday, May 6, 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Belen Library, 333 Becker Ave.
The students prepared an urban design framework plan for the downtown districts and from that picked about 12 "catalyst projects" on which to do further work. The project was completed in cooperation with the Belen MainStreet Partnership and New Mexico MainStreet.
The formal presentation begins at 2:30 p.m. followed by an opportunity for community members to participate in general discussion, as well as in focused discussion with designers of individual projects.
