Paige Briggs has been appointed as the new director of the Office of Institutional Analytics (OIA) effective May 1. She currently holds the applications programming manager position in UNM’s central Information Technology office leading the Student Information Systems team.

“With the increasing trend in higher education toward data-driven decision-making, universities are relying more on robust data collection and analysis," said Provost Chaouki Abdallah, who announced the appointment. "I am very happy to announce that Paige will be OIA’s new director. She has the technical and managerial skills to build and lead teams with a strong record of success.”

Prior to working with UNM’s IT office, she managed the operational and strategic support services for the UNM Health Sciences Center. While working for the Mind Research Network, she managed six grants supporting neuroimaging programs at correctional facilities in New Mexico and Wisconsin. Before that, she was the primary technical analyst on an application support team during her nine-year tenure with Sandia National Laboratories.

"The UNM Office of Institutional Analytics is embarking on a transformational change, leveraging data visualization and collaborative data governance,” Briggs said. “I am honored to have been selected to serve as the director, and equally excited to be a part of this transformation."
