The Physical Plant Department (PPD) hosts its next Building Coordinator meeting Wednesday, April 1 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. in Dane Smith Hall, room 120. These meetings are designed to educate staff on a variety of facilities and maintenance topics.
Themes for this semester include a presentation on the recent cleaning of the UNM Duck Pond, event planning on campus and a brief training session from Safety & Risk Services. The University has over 400 buildings and PPD’s goal is to capture more representation from each building on campus.
Building coordinators are tasked with many responsibilities, such as recognizing safety hazards in their buildings and reporting them appropriately, inform building occupants of who to call when problems arise, distributing important building information to occupants and being the point-of-contact for facilities personnel.
The Physical Plant Department is excited and motivated to engage this community and provide the needed resources to aid in the success of the UNM campus.
