UNM Chief Procurement Officer, Bruce Cherrin has been elected to the board of the National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP). Cherrin will serve as District Vl Board Member, representing NAEP members in the northwest, Pacific and Rocky Mountain states and in three Canadian provinces. NAEP is the national association representing the procurement profession. Its membership is restricted to purchasing staff in colleges, research institutions, hospitals, and K-12 schools.
The National Association of Educational Procurement is based in Baltimore, Maryland on the campus of the University of Maryland Baltimore County. More than 4,000 procurement professionals representing 1500 of our country's most respected educational institutions are actively engaged in the association. NAEP delivers continuing professional development in face-to-face venues, webcasts and at its flagship event, NAEP's Annual Meeting and Exposition held every spring.
