Now they invite everyone to join them in looking at the progress made throughout the years going from a program to a department while showcasing student and alumni artists who have been a part of the Chicana/Chicano studies.
In addition, the Taos Chrysalis Alternative School will donate artwork as a commemoration to the new department. Also attending will be community members who supported the Chicana/Chicano studies since the late 70s, talking about the movements and action going on during their time in the department.
