The UNM Art Museum and College of Education present "Brundibár! A Children's Opera" on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. in the Experimental Theatre, UNM Center for the Arts. The performance is held in conjunction with the exhibition "Through a Narrow Window: Friedl Dicker-Brandeis and Her Terezín Students."
"Brundibár" is a children's opera by Jewish Czech composer Hans Krasa originally performed by the children of the Theresienstadt concentration camp in occupied Czechoslovakia. The name comes from a Czech colloquialism for a bumblebee.
Theatre faculty Kathleen Clawson directs the UNM Children's Chorus with Terezín survivor Ela Weissberger.
