The Civility Speaker Series continues Wednesday, April 23 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the SUB Atrium. Titled “There’s No Place Like Home,” the campus community and members of a student panel will discuss the importance of community to Native American student success.

The Civility Speaker Series was developed by the Civil Campus Council to explore a broad range of perspectives in a safe and civil space. The series is part of the CommUNITY campaign is a campus-wide civility campaign developed by the Civil Campus Council at the University of New Mexico in August 2013.

The council is an initiative spearheaded by President Robert Frank to support civility on campus. The intention of the council is to identify all that UNM does to support civility and address acts of incivility on the UNM campus.

The Series, sponsored by American Indian Student Services, Dine of UNM, Kiva Club, Civil Campus Council and the Dean of Students Office, takes place monthly in the SUB.
