Foreign Languages and Literatures (FLL) in the College of Arts & Sciences presents, "Colonizing Creatures: Animals & Empire in Modern East Asia," on Friday, Feb. 28 from 2 - 4:30 p.m. in the Ortega Hall Reading Room, 3rd floor.

Guest speakers include Aaron Skabelund, Brigham Young University, presenting, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Meanings: Tigers - Real and Imagined - in Japanese Colonial Korea," and Robert Tierney, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, presenting, "The Colonial Menagerie of Momotaro." 
The presentations will be moderated by Walter Putnam, professor of French and FLL chair; and Andre Haag, assistant professor, FLL.
