A Taste of Anderson

The University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management will celebrate the fifth anniversary of “A Taste of Anderson” on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Hotel Albuquerque from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The unique event brings foodies together with expert culinary chefs from our community's finest restaurants to experience an exceptional array of delicious and gourmet treats and intriguing beverages. Top chefs from 21 of the city’s premier restaurants will take over the ballroom at Hotel Albuquerque to present small portions of their innovative cuisine.

Guests will  enjoy culinary creations from Artichoke Café, Casa Rondeña, Elaine’s, Farina, Farina Alto, Garduños, Kellys Liquor, Marcello’s Chophouse, Mykonos, Nick and Jimmy’s, El Patron, Nob Hill Bar and Grill, Ranchers Club, Savoy, Scalo, Slate Street, Seasons Rotisserie & Grill, The Daily Grind, Yanni’s, Zinc Wine Bar and Bistro and UNMfood powered by Chartwells.

The vision for this popular event came from a room that Anderson benefactor Debbie Johnson and her late husband Rick had at their ad agency called the creative kitchen where they “cooked up” creative ideas.

Now she’s cooking up funds to support marketing students and the Johnson Marketing Lab that was established in 2010 as a tribute to the memory of UNM alum and great community leader, Rick Johnson.  

“I am very grateful to Albuquerque’s finest restaurants and all our generous sponsors,” said Johnson. “They keep Rick’s dreams alive by helping Anderson students learn the communication, negotiation and motivation skills necessary to succeed in business.”

The Johnson Marketing Lab at UNM Anderson is the perfect pairing of outstanding education with real-world excellence, and its success is made possible by the community partners who add to the recipe with their continued support.
