The Community and Regional Planning program in the UNM School of Architecture and Planning offers a series of workshops and presentations on the development process. On Friday, April 15, from noon - 1 p.m. in the George Pearl Hall auditorium, Mark Lautman focuses on Economic Base Development and long term trends in economic development and other details of the development process.
Aspects of the development process to be addressed include marketing, the government process, including entitlements; financing; the risks and rewards of development; concept of value added and more.
The noon – 1 p.m. formal presentation will be followed by a workshop from 1 – 5 p.m. that is part of the CRP Land Development Economics Course. The workshop explores these ideas in detail.
