Lobo Development Corporation (LDC) has announced the appointment of David S. Campbell as its new Executive Director. LDC, a non-profit organization working in collaboration with The University of New Mexico (UNM) Regents and administration, focuses on leveraging UNM's land holdings for the benefit of the University and the State of New Mexico.
Campbell brings extensive experience to his role, with a career spanning several decades in various capacities within New Mexico. Notably, he served as the CEO and Chief Counsel for Mesa del Sol, a planned community in Albuquerque encompassing commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. With a 37-year membership in the New Mexico State Bar, his expertise extends to municipal and real estate law, encompassing both the private and public sectors.
Campbell's public service contributions have included key positions such as Albuquerque city attorney, planning director and CAO/city manager. He also served in the U.S. Department of State as a diplomat, with assignments in Africa and South America, and volunteered with the U.S. Peace Corps in Africa. In addition to his legal and public service background, Campbell is proficient in both French and Spanish.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service and holds graduate and law degrees from UNM.
