A Traditional Mexican Health Fair, Feria de Salud, is set for Tuesday, July 26 from noon to 2:30 p.m. outside the SUB north entrance.

More than 30 well-known Mexican folk healers, curanderos, from Mexico City, Oaxaca, Cuernavaca and other sites, discuss traditional healing therapies including herbal medications, spiritual cleansings and other techniques that have remained part of Mexican culture for centuries. Treatment is available and donations accepted.

The Feria de Salud, sponsored by the Women's Resource Center and OptumHealth New Mexico, is in conjunction with Traditional Medicine without Borders: Curanderismo in the Southwest and Mexico, a UNM summer course.
