Student Health and Counseling is dedicating their free flu shot clinic on Thursday, Oct. 28 to Raymond Plotkin, a UNM freshman who died last year from the H1N1 virus. The clinic in the atrium of the Student Union Building will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The vaccine provides protection against A/H1N1 as well as influenza A/H3N2 and influenza B. Students who receive the shot will also receive a "I took one for Raymond" sticker to wear. Plotkin's mother Elaine has led an effort to encourage everyone on campus to be vaccinated.
