Fortner Elected Regents' President

The University of New Mexico Board of Regents elected Jack Fortner as president of the board at its March 14 organizational meeting. A Farmington attorney, Fortner was recently confirmed by the New Mexico Senate for his third term on the board. Don Chalmers of Santa Fe was elected vice-president and Carolyn Abeita of Isleta Pueblo was elected secretary.
