As part of Mental Health Screening Day, the University of New Mexico's Student Health & Counseling is offering a free mental health check-up Thursday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SHAC, room 155.
Students have the opportunity to take a brief anonymous screening and to meet one-on-one with a mental health professional. The screening provides students information on symptoms they may be experiencing and treatments.
Although the screening test is not a substitute for a complete professional evaluation, it will help students learn if their symptoms are consistent with anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders or post-traumatic stress disorder.
For more information or to take free and anonymous screenings online, visit SHAC or call (505) 277-4537.
