Southwest Airlines and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is helping Hispanic students lower the expense of visiting home with a travel award called ¡Lánzate!/Take Off!. Students pursuing a higher education 200 miles or more from home can apply for the chance to win roundtrip e-pass(es).

"For over three decades HACU has been committed to Hispanic success in higher education and we are proud to once again be a part of the Southwest Airlines ¡Lánzate! Travel Program that helps continue that mission,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “This program has helped countless students maintain their connection to their families and has lessened the financial burden many students face while pursuing higher education.”

To be eligible, applicants must either be graduate or undergraduate students enrolled in a two or four-year university with a minimum GPA of 2.5. The student must be able to identify direct or parental ties to a specific country to determine Hispanic origin on the application.

The deadline to apply is Friday, April 13. To read detailed guidelines, eligibility requirements and to apply online, click here.
