Loretta Hall discusses and signs copies of her book, Underground Buildings: More than Meets the Eye (Quill Driver Books), at the UNM Bookstore on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Every day, millions of North Americans work, shop, dine, study and play in the more than 300 public and commercial structures and 5,000 private homes nestled in the earth. Underground buildings are safe, attractive, useful and comfortable places to frequent and live. More than 100 underground buildings are included in this fascinating subterranean tour.
Hall has written four books and hundreds of magazine articles and reference book chapters. Six of these reference books won a total of 13 awards. Hall now concentrates on the areas of architecture, engineering and construction. She is certified as a Green Building Technical Professional.
The UNM Bookstore is located at 2301 Central Ave. NE at the intersection of Cornell and Central. Parking will be validated in the parking structure for up to one hour with purchase. For more information e-mail Lisa Walden or call (505) 277-7494.
