UNM Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) would like to inform resident students that UNM main campus will experience heavy traffic Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30. Several special events are scheduled for this time period that could cause traffic congestion around Johnson Field and along Redondo Dr.

The special events include but are not limited to:

  • The 8th annual All-Indian Native America Basketball Shootout in Johnson Center on April 28 – April 30 
  • Nizhoni Days Pow-Wow festivities on Johnson Field on Sunday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Albuquerque Youth Symphony concerts at Popejoy Hall show on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.

Generally, there is no permit control in resident lots, however, in order to minimize impact to the resident lots PATS enforcement officers will be doing permit control during peak times on both Saturday and Sunday in the “R” lot located at Central and Girard.  

If you have an R permit and problems on Saturday or Sunday finding an “R” parking space, there should be space in the “R” lot on the NW corner of Central and Girard.
