This year as part of the 86th annual Homecoming celebration, the silent auction, which has been held exclusively for the past 16 years as part of the UNM Alumni Association's Southwest Lobo Fiesta Tailgate on gameday, will also be available online.
A selected number of auction items will be available online as part of the first-time endeavor, while the majority of items will be on display and available for bidding on Saturday, Oct. 2 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the SW Lobo Fiesta Tailgate tent. The online bidding concludes on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 12 a.m. MDT.
Some of the online auction items include a Dallas Cowboys package that includes two tickets to the Cowboys-Lions Game in Dallas in November with two nights at the Marriott Dallas/Plano at Legacy Town Center Hotel; a golf outing for two and a one night stay at the new Buffalo Thunder Resort Inn located north of Santa Fe; and a two night stay at the newly renovated Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Albuquerque, which include four water park passes, breakfast & arcade tokens.
The auction supports the Alumni Association's student programs and scholarships. Community participation is an invaluable part of the Alumni Association efforts. By donating an item or service directly online, businesses and individuals can help raise money for the Alumni Association. The more items donated means more money that can be generated for student programs and scholarships.
Additionally, donors will receive a mention on the Alumni Association's website that can link back to your web page and also in Mirage Magazine, the alumni magazine that's distributed to more than 143,500 UNM supporters.
If you're from out of state, enjoy the convenience of bidding online or if you want to contribute and support the UNM Alumni Association, check out the online auction.
