The March discussion The University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences Book Club is House Rules by Jodi Picoult. The HSC Book Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. This month the HSC Book Club meets on March 23 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Dean’s Large Conference Room on the first floor of Fitz Hall.
House Rules looks at what it means to be different in our society, how autism affects a family, and how our legal system works well for people who communicate a certain way – but lousy for those who don’t. For more information on this month’s selection, visit House Rules.
The UNM Bookstores offer a 20 percent discount to staff HSC Book Club selections. April's book is Pigs Can’t Swim by Helen Peppe. Additionally, both books are available at the Albuquerque Bernalillo Public Library.
Audio books are also a great way to “read” a book when you don’t have time to read. Download an audio book on your phone, computer or iPad using the Overdrive app.
The book club is an event organized by the HSC Staff Committee, and is open to everyone who enjoys reading and sharing ideas.
