The University of New Mexico Human Resources department is requiring all university employees to take a mandatory safety and welfare training course called “Preventing Discrimination and Harassment.”

Employees are required to complete the training by Dec. 31. In President Frank’s weekly perspective, he wrote “I urge you not to put it off. Take time right away so you can begin the new semester with a fresh understanding of your responsibilities and ways you can make our environment better for you, your colleagues, and our students.”

The State of New Mexico’s Risk Management Division requires employment-related civil right training to be provided to employees on at lease an annual basis.

To register for the training, employees must visit Learning Central. To log in to Learning Central, employees should use their Net ID and password. For instructions on how to access the training through Learning Central, visit the UNM HR website.
