UNM students and staff are invited to join the Latinx Faculty Alliance (LFA) and the Institute for the Study of “Race” and Social Justice for a workshop and presentation.
The workshop, titled “Institutional Ethnography Workshop: Creating a Genealogy of Latinx and BIPOC Faculty and Race, Gender and Social Justice Curriculum Across Departments and Programs at UNM,” takes place on Tuesday, April 20, from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. The Zoom link is https://unm.zoom.us/j/98971142330.
There will be presentations from Dr. Assata Zerai, vice president of the Division for Equity and Inclusion and professor of Sociology, and Angeles Castorena, Institute for the Study of “Race” and Social Justice undergraduate intern.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Southwest Hispanic Research Institute Division for Equity and Inclusion, Native American Faculty Council, UNM Africana Studies Program, Department of Native American Studies and Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies.
The LFA co-chairs are Professors Nancy López, Diane Torres-Velásquez, and Verónica Gonzales-Zamora.
